35 mm shot climbing Mount Whitney
This is a 35 mm shot I took on top of Mount Whitney, elevation 14,505′. Near the last couple miles we were almost convinced by other hikers to turn back. There was a storm brewing in the north. Both my friends were experiencing a little altitude sickness as well. They almost turned back but I convinced them to push on. When I got to the top, I was by myself. I watched as the storm magically dissipated and the sun came out. It was very surreal and inexplicably beautiful. I look back on it as a very spiritual moment for me, you must weather the storms when they come, not run away from them, you must believe whole heartedly in life that things will fall into place.
